I am sure that this is a common problem: Broken plastic screw tabs for all those flimsy plastic panels. Has anyone come up with a suitable method to repair them?

I had some of these in my tool box from my service days.

Very useful, will not help every break, so you may want to check out this page to.

Thanks Cheapeto, the u-clips are easy enough to find. What I need is a way to weld/fasten/bond /splice the plastic strips back together so I can attach a u-clip to it. I doubt 10 year old farings for a Verucci 150 are going to be easy to find, let alone be cheap.

I don't have any broken tabs but both of those sites have hardware that would be very useful for other projects!:thanks: Irish:scoot::nuts:

I gave up on those screws and tabs years ago. Drill holes, use zip-ties.

my tao tao body is held together by 48 zip ties, its very effective and cheap. That's also how i eliminated rattling

I guess that is the way I'll have to go. Best suggestion yet.
Thanks
