TaoTao Lancer 150 seat won't open

Just got my scooter today and it's already giving me headaches >:. I was able to open and close the seat a couple of times, but now it's stuck. Any tips on what to do? This thing is pretty useless if I can't even put gas in it. :no:

Are you able to hear it click when you turn the key. Maybe rock the seat while turning the key ... or push down on it while trying. The locks aren't the greatest.
