Yesterday I had to go from my house in Deposit, NY to a friend's home in Danbury, CT, returning this morning. Each way is 150 miles and I decided if I was ever going to stretch the legs on my CF Moto 250 this was the trip. It was mostly on interstate and the scooter cruised along quite happily. I believe that on an interstate it doesn't matter how fast you go somebody always wants to pass so I held the scoot at 63 mph for the most part. At that speed I was getting the phenomenal gas mileage of 79 mpg at all fillups. No issues and it performed as expected. It did the 300 mile trip quite easily.

CF Moto 250 Scooter or Motorcycle? Very nice nontheless! I want to start taking my scooter on the ride home (277 miles one way) but I need to mod it first - top speed is only ~50mph and the steering is kinda shaky at top speeds (probably due to wheels being out of balance).

Is it scary to get that thing above 60Mph? lol.

This can't be......Chinese scooters are all supposed to be unreliable, incapable, junk.....at least that's what I've heard.

That's some super fine fuel economy.......Good going KZ!!!

"CF Moto Fashion 250 scooter. "
Ahhh. Looks like a Honda Helix.
I hope CF Moto will start selling scoots in the states again.
I liked the V5.

Since it did so good the last time I'm in the process of doing it again. I'm sitting in Danbury now and the Fashion is outside waiting for the return trip. I only got 78 mpg this trip since I was stuck in Stop & Go traffic for an hour but it hummed along at 63 mph easily all the way here.

I'll keep you posted on the return voyage later.

You're bringing back many memories now. I'm (originally) from Conn. & a friend of mine & his family lived in Danbury.:yay::tup: Irish:scoot::nuts:

Another successful Voyage. I only got 77 mpg on the leg home. There was a headwind most of the way and the scooter was working hard on hills fighting gravity and the breezes. I've gotten better at adjusting my kidney belt for back support and the only discomfort occasionally is in my hands from holding the handlebars for long stretches. Besides making the trip an adventure I'm saving a lot on gas and wear and tear on the cars. So far, so good on the Scooter Touring bike.

A little update on the scooter front. I had the occasion to do the trip to Danbury and back once more. That makes three runs of three hundred miles each with no issues. Last night I had to go to Middletown, NY and back which is about one hundred and eighty miles round trip. Again the scooter rang in at 78 mpg and didn't stress my aging body. Filling up every 150 miles or so is costing me a little over $5.00 with mid grade fuel. I'm closing in on 15,000 miles and the China scoot is running like a house fan. Hummmmmmmm.

I'm on trip number four right now and I took some pics. A staffer at the Harley place came out to see the scooter up close. "I've never seen anything like this before!" We had a great conversation and he was surprised I had just over 15,000 miles.

A couple of weeks ago I did trip number 5. The scooter handled it just fine but only gave 75 mpg. I think as the belt stretches the revs go up and mileage drops off. It might be getting close to a required valve adjustment again too. Even still, the scooter is comfortable, steady and the Helix style seating is more like sitting in a convertible sports car than a bike. I did a 300 mile trip on the old Kawasaki last week and while we both came through, it wasn't as comfortable.
