Im about to upgrade my 50cc peace sports to a 72cc. I spoke to someone and they told me if i use the stock head my scooter will be faster than using the 47mm head that is coming in the kit. yes it will, BUT remember it increases the compression ratio so you MUST use premium grade fuel-- no more regular or midgrade and you should not increase timing through crank sensor realignment.

I am concerned as to why you are not going to the 82cc / 83cc upgrade?
