I crashed and cracked my crankcase and cover. How difficult of a job is it to swap the old out with a new? Is it better to fork out the $$ and pay someone? Thanks

It depends entirely on your skill, and available tools. I'm a scooter builder, so I can swap an engine in minutes, you might take longer.
If your crankcase is broken, you need a new engine.

I agree totally! I've got the tools but you might not. Also , I've been to the Triumph East Coast School but everything has changed! My advice : Get a Service Manual & you will be able to tell & it will also give your tolerances!:hmm: Irish:scoot::nuts:
