Hello all. Newbie here and i tried searrching first to no avail. I have what hope is an easy technical questions please. We have a stock GY6 in a kandi m2 go kart purchased for my kids. I am going to re jet to 120, tune the CVT w some lighter Dr. Pulley sliders and add an uni air filter. The question is please that the stock air filter looks like it has a vacuum hose hooked up to it and I’m not sure the new uni does. What do I do with this hose please – thought I might need to plug it but then didn’t know if that would restrict the airflow to another part or something. not at all sure how the vacuum stuff works. Any guidance is appreciated! Thank you. :hmm:

If the hoses you speak of, come from the valve cover, and the transmission, then they are vent hoses, and can not be plugged. If you do, there is a very good chance your oil seals will let go, causing more problems.

A lot of people place a small fuel filter on the ends of these hoses, and zip tie them somewhere out of the way. I made a catch can for my valve cover hose (crankcase vent), just so I could monitor the amount and contents of blowby gases. Photos of it can be found in my profile, under "My Stuff", on the right side of page, or in the link contained in the first post of this thread.
