I have a PCC Envy 150cc which has a air box on the left side above the variator/clutch cover. I was thinking of taking this off and replacing it with a Uni air filter, connected to the carburetor but there are 3 vent/vacuum tubes that are connected to the air box. One from the valve cover vent, one from the gas tank, a small one at the rear of the box and one other large one that feeds from two places. My question is do I leave these vent tubes attached, cut them shorter? any advise would help. :thanks:

I'm not telling you to do this......but.. I removed all that stuff over 3 years ago, before I ever started my scooter.

The necessary hoses are, the crankcase vent(from valve cover), the gas tank vent line, and the transmission vent hose(the one at the rear of the air box). A small fuel filter placed on these vent hoses will keep the dirt out. I made a catch can for the crankcase vent, just to monitor what is being expelled, but it isn't a must do.

All the rest can go, along with the attached canisters. A block off plate can be purchased, to cover the opening left when removing large hose from exhaust header area.

Thanks for the input. can you maybe show me a picture of your catch can for the crankcase vent hose. Also did you use just the normal type fuel filters?. Thanks again

Go to link for a few photos, and yes, just a cheap little scoot or lawn mower gas filter.

Rks' setup is pretty good. I use a 42mm paper cone filter and a no-return oil vapor condenser can (catch can) for the crankcase vent.

As to the "emissions" system, remove all of it. None of it is emissions system. Rather, it is an elaborated air-feeding system designed to fool emissions testing systems.
