Wow...those are some "wild and crazy guys"....Won't be trying anything like that myself....don't think my old bones could handle the wipeouts.

Really surprised by the number of responses on the Vespa Site, compared to here. Seems to be 'bass ackwards' to me.

I gather that not all Vespa owners are Anti-Chinese. Many seem to be curious about them, know a lot more about them than they let on and are waiting for the reputation of CCS to improve so they can buy a reliable spare.

I've been quietly reading and have come to this conclusion. A successful Vespa owner is much like a successful China scoot owner. He/she does the maintenance on schedule, doesn't abuse them and understands their limitations. From what I see they break down a fair amount and only enjoy dealers willing to fix them for vast sums of money. Support a Chinese scooter doesn't have-Yet.
