I have a 2008 scooter. It is 250cc and on the title it says vespa kait. The insurance stub says piaggio. Anyways, I've only had this scooter about a year and I bought it from a cousin. I don't know much about it except it goes about 60mph which is too fast for me. All I wanted was something good on gas, which it is awesome on, but the road I take to work is too busy and this scooter is too big for me (I'm a young girl). I've posted pictures and would like some advice on what is a good starting point for a selling price? It has almost 5800 miles on it
Thank you!

Depanding on where you live this may be slightly different.

So Avg is about $3000 for it in good shape

i hate to be the bearer of bad news but that is not a vespa or piaggio for that matter, lookup online pics!..a kait is also much smaller in a 150cc motor..All are different looking..than the one you have..you do not have a windscreen that the bigger bikes have that is standard..Your "cousin" owes you a refund..FYI: that is a 250cc jonway scooter

Question: ask cousin how he got this scooter registered legally as a Piaggio? If the reggi is bogus you will have one hell of a time trying to resell it. lol

or a Roketa Bali 250cc..http://www.motorscootershopper.com/roketa/bali250ccscooter.asp

this is the stolen scooter registry, fyi.. http://scoot.net/stolen/index.php?page=30

run the vin#, it should be on the neck area of the frame. All legit Inspection stations in my state, check the registration # against the vin # always on all vehicles!.. They get seized on the spot and police called in if owner does not show up with the correct paperwork in 48 hours..
It is the right thing to do anyway! I would want my property returned if stolen and the thief jailed..It happens more times than you think..
