I did a thorough search here and at other places and can't come up with much regarding little trailers for scooters. I'm not even finding a definitive answer about the legality of it in WA state.

Assuming it's legal, has anyone had luck doing this? I'll be getting a 150cc Scooter and would love to tow a small cargo type trailer behind it to do some camping. (my initial "a-ha!" moment/vision was a 6' long flat thing that I could open a pop up tent onto and make it a place to sleep, ha ha)

I'm pretty handy with a wrench and was thinking I might be able to even build something but want to get other people's opinions first.

150cc produces 10hp at the best. I really think you just be straining that poor little engine to much to make having a trailer worth anything.

Depends on how much you weigh yourself. :lmao:

You might rather consider something like this :

and pack light. My 150 hauls my buck fifty frame around pretty well, and doesn't even do too badly with my wife on the back. You just want to be careful about top-heaviness.

I have seen several on google. Here's only 2 of them...

That Instructables link is really cool.

I have also seen a local guy who has converted a Burley bicycle kid cart into a scooter trailer. I'll try to get a picture the next time I see it. It would be a cheap solution. I see those things used all over the place.

Wow thanks guys. Great links. That Scootboot is really nice and would probably last a lifetime at >$400 but a bit steep for me. The other one looks great but the welding is a bit daunting. The child trailer is a great idea! Who says you have to put a kid in it? Nice!
