my petcock is under my tank and would like to make it gravity fead like a lawn mower or motorcycle.there must be a diaphame in there for the vacuum to work.plugging off the carb where the vacuum hose goes wouldn't work cause the diapham has to work off sucktion.should I find something in a hard ware store that screwes into the tank with a outlet and just plug the vacuum hole on carb

No.

You can find a fitting to eliminate your in-tank petcock, but you will also need a manual switch/petcock.

I would not recommend you do so. I eliminated the petcock because I had the outside of tank gravity fed petcock. You do not have this.

I do not understand why you are doing this modification.

I was thinking I have a vacuum leak.reason for thinking this is if I don't start it every day it is hard to get it started.i have to take the intake boot off and put my hand over the carb and then it starts right away.maybe this is happening cause I need a enrichener.i tested it and it doesn't move when I put power to it.when I suck on the vacuum from the tank gas comes out of the filter so im assuming my petcock works.i did replace that 70 miles ago
