I posted this thread in the wrong forum before..

So I bought a 2008 Shenke SL250-22 Scoot from a local guy here in Cali. The scooter has 49 miles on it and it was owned by a retired old guy that rode it down to the gas station and back. It has sat for about 4 months.

Scooter started right up, ran around the block great. When I picked it up I drove it about 5 miles and stopped and checked things out. Everything looked great. Started again and about 5 more miles down the road I noticed the temp rising up a little. The scooter felt a little sluggish so I pulled over and shut it down. Checked the oil and oil came pouring out of the filler tube. Checked the antifreeze, it was low. Assuming it blew a gasket somewhere and the antifreeze was bypassing into the crank case.

Just dropped it off at a local shop for diagnosis. Anyone have any ideas? The scoot only has 50 miles on it. What the heck?

I'm gonna guess, that the top end = head/jug came loose. :hmm:

Does anyone know how to positively identify the correct parts for the engine when ordering? Any recommendations for a good parts supplier? Just in case I decide to re-seal the engine myself..

Thanks in advance.

Good chance that It was only over filled with engine oil. Do a drain and fill.

No, it wasn't as simple as just overfill. I wish. Looks like a blown head and/or base gasket. Mechanic should have her done today.
