Sometimes I feel guilty about charging 5.00 to fill up.
I have no idea why, what say you ?

???
Doesn't compute!

I fill up for $4,5, and feel good!
Once I filled up for $3,29, and had given the guy a $5 note.
I went back for change, though only took $1,5 on change, left the rest.

I remember having a moped when gas skyrocketed from $1 a gallon to like $1.60 seemingly overnight. This was right around 9/11 and the invasion of Iraq. This put the oil speculators in overdrive and the prices jumped so high so fast. The equivalent to gas jumping from the average $4 a gallon now to $6.40 in a few months.

I felt no guilt riding up and filling up on 50 cents. Even with the 95 mpg on my Sym Wolf needing only about 2 gallons, that's eight buck when just over a decade ago it would have been 2. Certainly most people who've had jobs since then did not get a 400% raise. But I'll tell you who did, the oil companies posting record profits quarter after quarter even during the economic crash.

No there's no love lost between me and big oil.

I fill up my motorized bicycle for around $3, with a range of 75 miles. My small truck fills up for $50 and will go about $325 miles..

It's not that I don't like " stickn it to the man". It's using plastic to do it that seems weird.

Hi Alan
Ahh, i see your point
I always pay in cash for fuel, as i stated earlier its mostly pocket change so why whip out the card for such a small purchase

+1!
I only use my card for big purchases, plus, in FL you pay more with a CC, then cash!
Although they only charge 20ct per gallon more, so on a scoot wih a 1 gal tank, that's really not that much!

I empty the coins from my pockets and car (sometimes my dads truck :D haha ) almost everynight, and it adds to the gas I use for the entire week. lol

Find a Dime on the sidewalk? Might as well put it in the 'Gas the Scoot' fund.

I use a card for every thing, even a cup of coffee at micky d's. Get from 1 to 3% back on card, pay it off every month and never charge more than I already have in the checking account. Then I get interest for that money thats in the bank for the month too while I use the credit card money. It took me a long time to save up enough to be one month a head on bills but now that I am there its nice. What I save probably fills a scooter once or twice a month.
